I only use them for home desktop and I dun need nor endorse HW encryption due to its ramifications

BTW what exactly is T13 sanitize command?  Read the web info but still no idea...

T13 sanitize is a function of crypto erase, for simple explanation, Key-Changing. If changed, then you will need enormous steps to get just one important photo.

Unfortunately, Only Seagate(R) has provided a handy procedure for hardware disposal or hardware return. Of course, If you need to void the equipment which supports the function mentioned, Simply remove the PCB board, Dip the board in strong acid or Hammer the board, That's all.

The being was usually found on FIPS140-2 certified HDD (SED). But now, From Seagate(R) Version 4 or higher and some enterprise model like HGST HE series, It is already encrypted, of course the level is lower than SED but still strong as SED has another function which ensure the unauthorized cannot plunder anything from the disk.

Enterprise HDDs are built with higher shock resistance and fault tolerance, not just simply 1 extr ...

Who told you EPS don't have service charge? The shop don't charge you for EPS service charge doesn't mean that the charge don't  exist.

I Have found there are several violations when paying by EPS or Credit card in Hong Kong but there are insufficient way to stop it. Of course if you buy something from big stores, you should feel stupid why paying by cash.

Generally, Handy service requires something such as "Contra Fraud". The fee is merchant's responsibility but somehow some people abusing the hole while in other place, can't. If accepted it, You can either raise up yours to discourage people to pay by cash or pay few percent annually for "ad fee".
