I heard that BMW HK is a 50-50 joint venture between Sime Darby and BMW, that's why BMW HK is a separate division.
Moreover, it is not uncommon to hear some BMW owners to file a complain directly to BMW headquarter in Munich in order to get their problems solved. Therefore I believe these are one of the reasons why bmwhk in general handles complains more carefully than other brands under the same roof.
This is off topic, base on my own experience, comparing to Mercedes HK, the overall service quality from BMW HK still lacks behind Merc.
The only advantage BMWHK has is their fast lane maintenance service so that a simple oil change service can be done in one day. Whereas for merc I will have to leave my car there for at least 3 days.
Volvo is even better because customers can even borrow their courtesy car after leaving their car with Volvo for maintenance. This is really good for owners who would need to use their cars everyday.
And thats why I am seriously considering getting the XC90 to be my next daily driver car. Too bad they are not planning to import the D5 into HK, otherwise it would be perfect. |
