3. Comment
3.1 Rochdale needs 5 more points to clinch promotion.
3.2 Notts County can challenge for the title if Rochdale
slip up in the title run-in.
3.3 Bournemouth have 6 more cushion over Rotherham.
They should have no problem to clinch the automatic
  promotion spot.
3.4 Play-Off spots --- Northampton, Morecambe, Bury,
Chesterfield, Aldershot and Rotherham are all fighting
for the Play-Off spots. There are only 4 pts separating
these 6 teams.  Port Vale and Dag & Red are poised
to strike if some of the 6 teams slip up.
3.5 Relegation -- Darlington are doomed. Grimsby upturn
in form are coming too late. They have a very slim
chance to escape relegation if they win all their
remaining games and the 3 teams above them slip
upbadly in the run-in. This is very remote.

20. Xerez              23      -26
Note -- If teams are on the same points, ranking is based
on their results against each other.

3. Comment
3.1 This is only 2-horse race for the Spanish title.
It is either Real Madrid or Barcelona.  No other teams
  can come closer.
3.2 The race on the 4th place is very keen. Sevilla, Mallorca,
and Bilbao are fighting for the last Champ Lg spot.
3.3 Vilarreal , Deportivo, Getafe and Atl Madrid can
claim the Europa Lg spot if they can win their remaining
  matches.
3.4 Relegation battles
The bottom 3 teams cannot be total written out yet because
Xerez experienced upturn in form.  Xerez won 3 matches
  lately.
Santaner, Malaga, Zaragoza, even Espanyol and Osasuna
cannot be so relaxed so soon. They should work harder
to avoid dragging into the mud-sling relegation battles.

14. Xanthi              29
15. Giannina           28
16. Panthrakikos      12   --> Relegated

3. Comment
3.1 Panathinaikos needs just 1 more pt in the remaining
2 games to confirm they are the Champions.
3.2 There is not much competition for the last play-off
place. The 6th-placed Kavala is 8pts adrift of Aris (5th).
The teams in Play-Off are Olympiakos, PAOK, AEK
and Aris. The only change will be the points the team
carries into Play-Off because the higher ranked teams
(will be awarded with more points which they carried
into the Play-Off). The awarded points are the difference
btw the teams with the lowest team as basis.
That means the lowest team has 0 point awarded which
  they carries into play-off.
3.3 Relegation
Panthrakikos are relegated. The only issue is who will
accompay them. Giannina, Xanthi, Levdiakos are fighting
to avoid relegation.  Ast Tripolis and Ergotelis also needs
3 more pints to relieve them from relegation pains.

   --- Relegation line ---
15. Leixoes                    18
16. Belenenses             15

3. Comment
3.1 Benfica needs 10 more pts to claim the championship.
3.2 Sp Braga and Guimaraes are the surprise packages this season.
It looks like Braga can hold off Porto for 2nd place.
3.3 Sporting Lisbon are very disappointing this season.
They cannot finish any higher than 4th place this season.
There is a big gap (of points) between Porto and Sporting.
3.4 Guimaraes, U.Leiria, P.Ferreira, and Nacional have a claim
   on the Europa Lg spot.
3.5 Relegation -- Relegation is much or less decided. It seems
Leixoes and Belenenses are destined for relegation to Div 2.
Are there any miracles for these 2 teams? They also need
Olhanenses and V.Setubal slip up for any of the 2 teams to
  overtake them.

Preview of Spanish D1 Fixtures this weekend (4/10-4/11)
1. This Weekend Fixtures
4/10 (10 Apr)
Malaga vs Sevilla
R.Madrid vs Barcelona  --> El Clasico
Tenerife vs Valladolid
Villarreal vs Sp Gijon
Xerez vs Getafe

4/11 (11 Apr)
Bilbao vs Almeria
Deportivo vs Santander
Espanyol vs Atl Madrid
Mallorca vs Valencia
Osasuna vs Zaragoza

2. Comment
2.1 All eyes focus on the National derby between
R.Madrid and Barcelona. Te 'El Classico' this year takes
extra importance because it may all but decide who
  take the championship crown.

2.2 The race for 4th spot (last remaining Champ Lg spot)
2.2.1 Sevilla should beat Malaga, and Bilbao should beat Almeria.
2.2.2 The match between Mallorca (5th) and Valencia (3rd)
should be another fierce contest.  Valencia must win
to consolidate their positon but Mallorca must also win
to keep up the pressure on Sevilla. A draw will benefit
  their rivals.

2.3 Relegation front --
2.3.1 The relegation derby between Tenerife and Valladolid.
Both side must win to give themseleves a lifeline.
A draw does not help them.
2.3.2 Malaga need a win or a draw (against Sevilla) to ease
their relegation fear.  Same goes with Santander, who
  visits Deportivo.
2.3.3 Another 6-pointer is the contest between Osasuna
and Zaragoza. A win will ease their relegation fear.
