外置主力儲存不是應該用 RAID/HBA Card SFF-8088/8644 + SAS Enclosure?

我本身有部itx 放資料，再拖外置century (3隻+4隻硬碟)
ITX個機箱換硬碟/檢查清潔都好麻煩，最近部itx先換走左隻WD RE 4TB
拆完上機搞成半粒鐘...
（順帶想問下聯強保既，係唔係直接拎去旺角就得，但我見旺角鋪話無得測試)
部機size放電視櫃下邊完美fit曬所以唔打算換

而且最近都想走換部主力機，唔肯定cpu會唔會上水（怕漏水整壞硬碟)
所以把心一橫想將全部硬碟放落去外置盒到
但century 10bay唔確定有冇smart睇真係好難搞

In general, hdd enclosure is much more stable and reliable than docking.  For instance, my Unitek Y-3355 2-bay enclosure has been running at 24/7 for more than 3 years, very stable!

Btw, stardom products are quite expensive.

In my view, your Unitek Y-3355 is still a docking product, though it provides protection like hot-swap-like HDD tray and metal case. The main point is that the product is still controlling the HDD via USB host to SATA chip. The awful USB interface can cause lots of problem.

If reliability is necessary, please use a External SAS PCIe HBA/RAID card with SAS enclosure. The PCIe host with SAS controller is much more solid than the USB interface.
