Merlin's developer has long declared AC66U/AC68U EOL, no updates in the future.

ASUS also consider them EOL. Time to retire them.

    官方最新的 rom 係去年﹐主因係去年有大批不同型號的router 有保安漏洞﹐大批被hack。

結果當時有一批router都係被異常扯高CPU。

ASUS 亦有做野﹐推出修補保安的ROM﹐所以唔少router去年都有更新ROM。

ASUS 為十幾年前的model 推出修補﹐真係交足功課。
某牌子﹐直情講太舊唔會推出修補﹐叫用家買過隻新model。


PS. 小分用緊AC-68U﹐去年都發現CPU無情情扯到盡。
原本都打算買隻新router算數﹐但見到有新firmware﹐於是就更新埋佢。
更新後﹐一直正常無異樣。

又無藉口去換新router了。

Haven't tried, but if true, it means any device is within LAN can hack it, or has access through open port (VPN, port forward, etc.):

There is even an official firmware update yesterday for AC68U. But still, better to retire them, they are EOL.
