Finally gaining a slight edge is no way epic IMO.
It might help pushing Titan's price a bit lower, but it is nothing epic or really game-changing here.

If they are outclassing everybody by a way lower price point like USD199~299 (Just like RV770)
That can be called epic.

I'm not blaming ATI, but it is a misuse of word.
It is hard to be epic in today market.

Is been a long time since we see a completely new SKUs from both camp. Gamers have been hungry for long to see a new king. So I don't blame them.

The truth is, both camp are limited by the 28nm process. Without a new process, is very hard to be, like what you said, "epic". The win is not big. That's for sure. But given the fact that it is still on 28nm process, I guess is understandable and I will give AMD some leeway.

I do hope for some GPGPU refinement tho. The target should not be only Titan now, but also Intel's Knight Corner. We all know high end gaming market is no longer blooming.

Yep, I don't expect it to be epic neither.
The only thing came close to epic in last 2~3 years is the first release of GK104 IMO
But that's new architecture on new process with a unexpected targeting
The development cycle slowed down enough to be "expectable"  nowadays.
Just like CPU, Epicness is hard to find.

And for GPGPU...It might take some more time to mature out, I just don't see it as ATI's territories at all until GCN

BTW, the PCB kinda reminded me of GT200 w/o IHS, I'm not sure why.
