The only advantage of HMV is to sample some new CDs and AV hardware, that's all

HMV was a treasure trove only until around the early 2000s
But since they restricted their CD selection to the most mainstream ones, the good old days were effectively over

For audio and video soft there's still those independent stores eg. RockGallery
