Even M3 is only $1.8/km in the dense urban of HK with passionate test driving.
Let's say $2.
Consider one is sedan one is high performance high rev car,
I would say the number you quoted is very reasonable for V8 cars of over 10 years old.
Newer models are much better.

一部千幾 cc 車扯到氣咳時其實好食油。相反大 cc 車低轉扭力已經夠做﹐根本唔洗谷副 engine。

Top Gear 測試過 BMW M3 慳油過 Prius.

條件係Prius keep 住高速行駛, M3 喺後面跟住.

Yes but it is a 16 years old BMW.

Prepare to spend triple than what you paid to replace wear & tear items.  Coils/plugs/engine sensors/suspension rebuild can get expensive quickly.  Some interior electrical items might not be 100% working and those can get VERY expensive to troubleshoot and repair.
