I've an Omega watch which was also having "藍寶石玻璃表面"  

May be this new breed is even more attractive then HOYA HD

But it doesn't mean it won't break. Think about the weight of a DSLR with standard zoom lens then think about the thickness of the filter. I bet that it will break if the point of impact is on the surface of the filter when you drop it from you hand.

It happens if the front element of the lens faces downward and hit some sharp object......... I doubt if this is very likely
