[測試] 3570K 4.5G 1.110V Ultra 120

Upgraded from i5-750 to IB3570K, the i5-750 really sucks, the max. stable clock rate is 3.8G  no matter the how high is the core voltage. The post is to share my experience, with 3570K, I think the practical air cooled frequency is about 4.5G, anything higher generates large amount of heat and consumes much power. It doesn't worth to push even higher. I bought the P8Z77-V Pro while there was Kingston 2 x 4g promotion. The stick of ram can just do 1333, it wouldn't boot at 1600.

CPU : Intel 3570K
Core Voltage : 1.110V @BIOS
Ultra 120 + 1800 RPM PWM FAN
MB : Asus P8Z77-V Pro
RAM : Kingston 2 x 4G DDR3-1333
Display Card : ATI 6950
HD : Seagate 250G SATA, Hitachi 1.5T SATA
PSU : Antec EA500
Case : Cooler Master RC 590
Power consumption (on plug) @ 4.5G 175W (Linx_AVX)

4.8G requires 1.25V and the test was performed without case and the ATI6950. And power consumption was around 190W. I think it is not feasible to run it in case with air cooled.

The Core Voltage to frequency ratio is very similar to the article from anandtech. If you are about to OC your IB3570K/3770K, I would suggest to begin with the setting according to the graph.
