玩左AMD6 7年,終於要食煙
琴晚試左一陣,超黎超去都冇AMD咁順手
我係X58+I7 930 ,已前係790X+965
[冇計,冇錢要食二手煙]
RAM 用緊2組2X3 GB
第一組係1600
第二組係2000
但兩組都係行1333
外頻200,倍頻18
CPU 1.325V
QPI 1.325V
RAM 1.5V
暫時只係識睇識SET 上面果堆野
但係開機就REBOOT,行17倍頻就入到但燒唔到
我套野係I7 930+X58+6870 CF +2隻HDD+1DVD ROM
火牛係ANTEC 550W 80+,之前行965 3.8GHZ 1.45V + 6870 CF 燒機冇問題

I7 930 同IB 的I5比輸好多, 而且勁熱仲要超埋
超完換埋散熱的錢夠上IB
點解要食2手煙

我本身有玩開風冷,hs果到都有兩三隻
唔知會唔會我係隻火牛唔夠推
頭先6870 cf 燒機,我930 只行出廠頻率,都會間中reboot
超上3.2/3.4/3.6 一燒機即 re
呢加試緊只行單卡先
暫時133外頻,21倍頻 2.8ghz
6條ram行1866 1.6v , cpu 0.975v
燒左一個鐘頭都ok,full load 55度
試下慢慢推上去先,話唔定係我隻火牛唔夠力了

just tell me which heatsink you are using,
I am using also X58 platfom
my i7-980X can go to 4.1GHz long run under 20 C air conditioner
with using same with my friend Noctua NH-D14, but 3 14cm fan ,
so it is Noctua NH-D14 extreme

兩把日本NB 12 CM ,之前係團購左3把
1把12CM前入,1把12 CM後出,2把12CM係CPU,1把1WIND 14 頂出

首先別大超ram，有禁低得禁得,看看默電能不能上到3.8G
我以前試過 182*22 1.275v（無記錯的話
二手不如加小小上i5
困為熱到。。。

if you use true black on X58 platform with oc, I suggest you use higher RPM fan to get better performance,
or you can have sandwich type heatsink like Noctua NH-D14
but I suggest you dont overclock too much if your computer always blue screen because of overheat, just use at normal clock is fast enough.
You got 3 choice to the CPU
1.buy a better heatsink to OC
2.Buy a sandy bridge CPU and motherboard to OC
3. use at standard Clock, it is good enough, I am using normal clock also
for me 3.33GHz, it can be very good temperature, so you can make sure the CPU life wont be shorten

try to reset the OC setying, go back to default clock
my method:
for example default clock is 200*20 = 4000
If target is 5000,And I will try different with 200*21 =4200
&
210*20 =4200
To see the voltage different and the temperature different
Amd keep trying the clock using and test the voltage, as low as possible to set, but make sure it can go though the benchmark, and keep doing that until like 250*20
Or 200*25
To reach the target want to go
Bit need to make sure the voltage not too high and the temperature is not too high or it can harm the cpu. That's my method of annoying

第一代i7 只係時脈低先效能低，一般不加壓3.8 ghz 無問題
cpu 唔應該加到咁高
超唔到有可能超左bus, 北橋要加壓
