The rumored desktop dock for the Nexus One has been made official today -- conveniently (and accurately) bearing the official name of Nexus One Desktop Dock -- running $45 sold separately or bundled with your phone purchase. As expected, dropping the phone into the dock triggers the Clock application to fire up to give you access to alarms, music, and weather (not unlike the Droid), but the special sauce lies out back where you'll find a 3.5mm jack that connects to your stereo system using an included 3.5mm-to-RCA cable. A charger's included to keep the phone topped off while it's resting in the cradle, too, and considering the presence of Bluetooth here, we're guessing audio is ferried via A2DP rather than a hardwired connection. Technology! The dock's available right now for purchase directly from Google.

Who has already the dock already? Are you committed to use this phone for the whole year or are you planning on gettin iPhone 4G in June 2010?

Can't help it when the USB connector is at the botton of the Nexus One. We can only position the phone vertically.
Motorola had planned their dock when they designed the Milestone. I also prefer the Motorola dock but what can we do. We are committed to the Nexus One now.
It would have been even nicer if Google had made a dock similar to the Palm Touchstone. That is the best.

Can save the shipping cost.

Honestly, i will definitely not buy it! Compared to the milestone dock, Goggle really needs to put more effort into the appearance of the Nexus dock~

Coming to speak of it. How do you compare your Milestone to your Nexus One?
Which one do you like better?
I like my Palm Pre more than the Nexus One but that is only because of the 3D games. It is just fun playing 3D games with the tiny Palm Pre. The touchstone is also really cool.
Milestone looks nice and I have to agree with you the dock for the milestone is really cool. I would sure get the dock for the Milestone if I had the phone.
I am thinking of the Sony X10 to replace the Nexus One. What do you think?

Well it seems there is more the the dock that we may not know yet.
I read somewhere that the Nexus Dock support bluetooth feature. Why would Google do that when the phone itself suppports bluetooth.
There are these gold connectors at the botton of the Nexus One. What are they for?

Many guys in USA are buying the dock. Some guys have bought 2 docks (office and home).
They are not bothered by the US $45 price tag. I guess they are so used to maxing their credit cards that they don't have to worry about cash.
The only difference is that we have to pay for the shipping. Sad that we can get it lcoally from HTC.
The actual dock is only US $45 (HK $350) which is not that bad.

Those are the contact point to the charger... but thats pretty obvious anyway. The question is that will music go through those points at all ?

I see.
I am tempted to buy the dock. Can then use my phone as an alarm clock to wake me up in the morning and also I can check the temp and listen to the radio.
The only thing that is stopping me is the thought that I may not be using my Nexus One for long. So many new phones are going to release and I may switch soon.

Looks like a the Nexus One Dock is a failure in Hong Kong. No one willing to burn money on it.
It is selling really well in USA. No surprise as nearly all the buyer are paying by credit cards. Lol!!!!
