If you were to buy the Galaxy Note Edge now which one would you get?
The Korean model with the Exynos CPU or the HK model with the Snapdragon CPU.
Which one you think is a better option?
Korean model is about $6480
HK Model is about $7380
What are your thoughts?

Is Exynos better because it will get 30% boost in performance when Android 5 releases for Note 4 and Note Edge?
Exynos is 64bit ready and Android 5 will make the Exynos CPU to run in 64bit?

I agree with you but Android 5 update for Note 4 and Note Edge will release later this month. So the performance update will be available soon.

I just want others to give their opinion. Who knows I can find out that the Korean model has bugs or issues which a am not aware. I think this is a discussion board isn't it?

I see. I thought the Korean model can also be used in 3G and 4G mode.
I think a very important point to consider is support from XDA Developers. I am sure the international model will get more support compared to the Korean model. However the Korean model already has 1 custom rom.
Why CPU is the US model using?

Does anyone know if the Note Edge has a wireless charging back cover in the market?
作者: The Dude 時間: 2014-12-3 09:56
Looks like the Note Edge is not so popular in HK. Not many are interested in the phone.

Yes, you are correct in the sense that Korean model can be used for 3G and 4G (i.e. FDD-LTE). However, since most Chinese telecom are using TD-LTE, the Korean model cannot have 3G and 4G connection within China.

呢款機我估升級會比較慢.

Thou Exynos performs better in benchmarks and comes with newer CPU architect/design, I am bit afraid of the poor laggy, battery drain and sudden dead reports in Tab S 8.4 which uses similar generation of Exynos.
If you go for Korea Version, wish it's not that case of Tab S 8.4 and keep us post please!

I believe the Exynos CPU are also being used with the Note 4.
Battery drain was reported with Note 4 but not sure about Note Edge. That is why I want to know if wireless charging back cover is available or not. Then such small things will not be an issue.
I am only worried about performance because we all know that Touchwiz sucks. It is laggy even with the best hardware. Snapdragon 805 is slower than the Exynos CPU so using the Exynos version will always be a plus.
作者: deonz 時間: 2014-12-3 19:31
yup
exynos 5433 perform far better then S805 and its really tempting!! 20nm tech!
just those deadly poor comment on tab S (exynos 5420) really make me hesitate and thus i wish to share those worry with u.
try read user comment of tab s8.4 on dcfever n you will know.
i am wondering if thats due to immature 4+4 CPU structure.

Any problems with the Note 4 in Hong Kong. I believe all the Note 4 stock in HOng Kong are using the same Exynos CPU.
The guys at XDA Developers who have the Note Edge with Exynos CPU are praising it.
I doubt Samsung will screw up the Note Edge as it is already in limited quantity and the Exynos CPU is being used exclusively in their own country.
作者: killerxp 時間: 2014-12-3 20:18
Yes, not even 3G in China. 3G for most carrier in China uses TD-SCDMA instead of WCDMA.

I see. Yes, the iPhone 6 Plus a better buy considering that the resale value is still very good,
For example an iPhone 6 Plus 128gb after being used for 2 months still can be sold for $8200 at Sintat.
Can't say the same for Note 4 Edge. Will be lucky to get about $4000 after using for 2 months.
