Microsoft 將於下週二 (18 日 ) 停為 Windows 8 作業系統的技術支援，仍用使用 Windows 8 作業系統用戶必須盡快更新至 Windows 8.1 或直接升級 Windows 10 作業系統。

Windows 8 作業系統於 2012 年 10 月正式發佈，距離推出至今不足四年，為何會那麼快被停止支援 ? 原來 Microsoft 的政策僅會支援最新的 SP 更新版本，而 Windows 8.1 被視為 Windows 8 的最新 SP 版本，才會被那麼快取消支援。

據了解，不少正使用 Windows 8 作業系統的用家尚未升級 Windows 8.1 ，但下週二起 Microsoft 將會停止升級支援，將會出現安全風險，建議用家盡快升級。

所有 Windows 8 作業系統的用家均可以在任何時候從 Windows Update 中升級 Windows 8.1 ，直至 2023 年 1 月 10 日完全停止 Windows 8.1 支援為止，而另一種選擇是直接升級 Windows 10 ，但免費升級僅提供至 2016 年 10 月 14 日為止。
